Marcela DiTizio
International Travel Consultant
To further develop and build on my experience, I made the decision to get my specialist certificate in Corporate Geography. I also earned my certification as a Hawaii Specialist, as well as becoming a Sandals Resort Specialist, and some other islands in the Caribbean. I love learning and have always been interested in attending destination events and courses to further gain knowledge of the ever-changing world of the travel industry.
After 6 years at my first agency, I then moved to Ottawa and worked with Rider Travel. During this time, I gained valuable experience in corporate and government travel. It was an area of the travel industry that was brand new to me, but I gained a lot from the new challenge. Working here allowed me to utilize what I learned in the Corporate Geography course.
I took a few years off, to raise my 2 children, who are now, 12 and 16. In 2014, I returned to the travel industry, specializing in both leisure and corporate travel.
I feel it is important to continue to educate myself in the ever-changing travel industry so my knowledge and expertise continue to develop and grow. The more knowledge a travel agent has, the better they are able to serve and build a strong and lasting relationship with their clients. Throughout my years in the industry, I have prided myself in fostering trust and offering excellent customer service.
